Expired Domain

Few weeks ago, before the 13th of July I did a whois on a particular website.

At that point of time, the Administrative and Technical Contact still belong to the owner.

However when I did a whois yesterday.It showed the following :-

This Domain is expired
Please renew at www.domaincontender.com
New Orleans, LA 70130 US
[phone]

Record created on 07-13-2005

Does this mean to say I will only be able to register that domain 75 days after 13th of July 2006?

Domain expiration goes through several phases before you can actually register it. Look up the terms at the registrar you use, and it will explain the process in full detail.
