Hijack attempt?

Just saw this come through as the "REFERRER" attributes of one of the hits on one of my pages. I've changed my domain name to example.com here, of course... but is this likely someone trying to grab my domain?

[<RegistrarName>.com...]

Of course, I have that domain locked through GoDaddy ... and all my registrations are private through domains-by-proxy (although logging into their portal at the moment, oddly enough I don't see that one in my list with them). Have I done everything possible to prevent theft? Is there anything else I should be doing?

Thanks in advance!

... if you dont see your domain at the registrar where you think it is registered, don't you think you should check that it hasn't already been stolen? :(
(If I understood you correctly)

If the domain isn't appearing in DomainsByProxy then you should do a whois search to see if it's actually proxified. If not, you should be asking DBP why it isn't covered. Maybe you didn't renew your subscription? Maybe your account has been compromised and the hijacker has removed the proxy prior to attempting a transfer? You should at least immediately change your GD and DBP passwords, just in case.

Contact GoDaddy and ask if the name is still regsitered with them
Make sure you have locked the name

This was primarily concern ... that it was stage 1 of a 2-part attempt to pry the domain away from me.

As an update, I called DBP directly yesterday - after also filing a notice with GoDaddy in advance that I absolutely did not want that domain transferred, in case they saw something come through. Turns out, GoDaddy pushed that domain into a different DBP account - not quite sure why on that - that was also registered to me. I was able to log into that secondary DBP account, verify that the domain was there, and then work with a DBP rep on getting it transferred over into my proper account.

So, crisis avoided. Thanks for all the input ...
