At the moment I have a problem registering a new .de domain name.

The german authority DENIC says the following:
"Yes. It is possible for individuals or institutions (that have legal capacity) not located in Germany to register .de domains. There is, however, a condition, namely that they must appoint an administrative contact who is resident in Germany and who has a postal address at which it is possible to serve documents (i.e. not a mere P.O. box). The administrative contact is then also the person formally authorized by the domain holder to receive service of official or court documents"

But as I live in another european country, I have no address in Germany. Does anyone know whether it is possible to register a .de domain name while not having a German address. I already talked to some of the major registrars in the U.S. as well as in Germany, but they do not support this. Because the asked contact needs to be an administrative contact only, I can imagine some registrars accept foreigners to register a .de domain name (while they are the asked administrative contact themselves).

Any experiences?

Registrars that deal sell a variety of euro tlds offer a version of "remote administrator" services to deal with the contact requirements.

It's akin to "domains by proxy" where the registrar agrees to provide the needed contact services for a fee.
