We've got a competitor who registered a variant of one of our trademarked names. They are redirecting all traffic from this domain to their site.

Anyone have suggestions for how to stop this or claim this name? I know there is a possible remedy via ICANN or the traditional legal means, but would rather handle this in a more 'friendly' manner if possible.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Alternately, if the only option is doing an ICANN complaint, does anyone have experience with a similar situation and details of how well / poorly the process went for you?

Thanks!

In that case, get a seasoned attorney and work it out with the other party first.
If it doesn't work, your attorney will know what to do for you.

Domain disputes are handled on a case to case basis.

While this is more of a webmaster forum and not a legal one, I hope what I said
will help give you some direction.

Bottom line, it's all about human relations. :)
