hi all

im planning on moving my .co.uk site to a new shared server as my current hosts are not that good, sometimes a bit slow and occassionaly offline for short periods.

i heard good things about a certain company based in the USA and have signed up with them.

ive uploaded the site and checked all is working and load times are abaout the same as my current UK Server.
before i transfer the domain name over, i wanted to check to see if its a bad idea hosting a UK Site on a US Server and if any of this will hurt my PR and rankings.

thanks

bill

Google reps have stated here that you need either a local ccTLD (which you have), or local hosting to determine whether your site is applicable to a local market. Since you meet the minimum criteria there should be no problem making the change.
