nameserver creation using directnic

what software is it talking about

Does anyone know what software i need to configure at my ip address to get this to work. this is the screen i get
using directnic.com nameserver creation

Sounds like it is asking for you to point it at a Domain Name Server. I'd avoid this option unless you know what you are doing. They do Domain Hosting, which is probably a better option for you, they can then point the A host record at your web server. So ask them about their Domain Hosting service.

If you have purchased webhosting from any of the companies selling webhosting the servers will already be set up for this. All you need to do is enter the nameservers name and/or IP address as requested by directnic. This info is usually supplied in the welcome letter from your webhost, or call their customer service. I've seen that warning before and was amused at how overly dramatic it seemed, figured they are just trying to push you to buy more from them.
