Lose DNS info on the transfer?

If I transfer a name, do the DNS settings change?

I'm about to transfer about 20 names that have sites behind them - I want to confirm that the DNS won't change during the transfer....is this the case?

Usually, you will need to set up the DNS information on your new registrar again - the nameservers are likely to change so you'll need to update the records they hold to include your sites.

You should try and do this in advance if possible to avoid any downtime, and make sure you remember email records and suchlike.

What type of domain names are they Gamb?

For an intra-registrar transfer of a normal TLD, such as .com or .net, the nameserver details won't change during or following transfer; post transfer, the nameservers will also be locked for a number of days, as an anti-hijacking measure.
