i have regd the domain with a well known UK provider (which name is the name given to a well known sword, ill let you figure it out because i dont know wether i can post it)
well anyway, i was wondering do i need it to forward with frames forwarding?
my hosting is for example [212.233.x.x...]
but i want people to be able to surf like
[mydomain...] or whatever
but it doesnt seem to be doing the business! any links to a good guide on domains etc?
You need to point the domain with the dns to your host.
Like ns.yourhost.com
ns2.yourhost.com
When you have done that put up a site in the right folder (www) with a index file and after 24 hour you are able to surf to the right url.
And this info can your host give you how to manage your domains.
/Ove
good advice, thankyou.
ok, second question i have my hosting and my domain with two seperate companies..
my web hosting provider gives me a full web based control panel but it doesnt seem to be fully integrated with the domain name that i have chosen? do i have to switch the domain over to that company?

No it is better to have them as you do with different companies, then you have far more flexibilty if something goes wrong with either company.
