have .net & .com -- any benifits to be had

I have .net and .com for my business. Is there any SEO benefit to be had or should I just 301 from .net to .com?

Duplicate content could cause less than stellar positions in the SERPs. The standard advice is to pick one to focus on and 301 everything from the other domain to it. The benefit of having both is the security of knowing that your competitor can't register it.
