Backordering problems

Wondering what you all suggest for backordering domains. I used to use Snapnames, but ended up having problems with them. Then I switched to POOL. They seemed to work well, but recently POOL hasn't been emailing me when a domain goes into the auction phase, and the ownership shows as POOL. Kind of like they decided to take it for themselves. Anyone else see this with POOL. Any other good backorder sites out there?

I've had a long history of email problems with Pool. My advice: If you use them always have an alternative email addy on file with them.

SnapNames and Pool are still the best. Enom Club Drop plays along. NameWinner might still be (barely) alive. GoDaddy has a drop service that hits and misses, mostly misses, but you queue first for domains that they drop.

I recently attempted backorder for the first time.. with godaddy... they were absolutely useless and I feel that the whole process of back order is really a useless con...

Not only did they not secure the domain, they then explained that the owner had renewed, that someone else got it, sorry it's gone etc .. yet after persistance of checking myself I managed to secure the domain their specialist service said was gone ...

I have subsequetly been attempting to recover my money, only to be refused, even given the exceptional circumstances and the fact I acheived what they couldn't... just smells of con to me..

because godaddy provides crappy backorder service doesn't make the entire process of back ordering domains useless. Let's face it - godaddy has a "real" domain registration business. snap and pool specialize in expired - making their bid to get them a little bit more "serious" than gd.
