UK Domain Drop and Whois question

Can anyone help me? There was a .co.uk domain that i really wanted and I booked a dropcatcher slot from dropcatcher.co.uk. Well the domain was picked up by someone else and their whois is blocked so i can't write them.
Question 1: What other dropcatching .co.uk services are out there besides dropcatcher.co.uk and Pool.com?.

Question 2: Is it possible aquire the whois email address for .co.uk domains even when they omit their infomation?

Q2: No, but if you wait and get lucky they'll point it to a site and you'll then be able to contact them. Either that, or send a snail-mail message if their address is shown.

Just a thought, is the registrant an individual or a business. Only individuals are allowed to supress their details.

If it's a company then contact Nominet and point it out to them - I have in the past and Nominet have published the information.

Think twice - Do you really widgets.info? What content do you put on it. You are not just taking the headache of taking ownership of the domain but also of its hosting and the countless hours of the effort you need to put in.
If you really feel the domain will be of any use, go ahead with the tranfer and get it started!

well i own the .com version and i do business in the UK. I was waiting for it to drop but someone else got it.
I just received an email from dropcatcher.co.uk saying that nominet was blocking them from aquiring domains so i don't know if that had anything to do dropcatcher not getting it for me.
It was an individual that aquired it. And yes it would be worth the headache.

DropCatcher's current problem is strictly a temporary measure. I liased with Nominet's Managing Director, Lesley Cowley over the weekend and she assures me that everything possible is being done to sort the problem. We are confidently expecting that the problem will be resolved today.

We were the very first public facing .co.uk dropcatching service in the World and still catch more .co.uk domains for our clients than every other .co.uk dropcatcher put together.
