How do these fair for competitive serps?

I have a great url for a new business venture and the .com is owned by someone who has done nothing with the site and wants $2500, no backlinks nothing blank site but he is holding out for the big money...

My alternative is a .biz and I would like to know from those of you with .biz experience about how these fair in a serp with about 500,000 inventory in G?

Do they require extra help other than the norm?

For SEs domain extension is insignificant.

Only,human visitors could better remember common extensions like .com or .net instead that a .biz.
