With Google becoming an official domain registrar, they now get back end access to whois data.

So the question is, if I register a domain privately through GoDaddy, or Enom and their proxy registration service, can google see who really owns it?

this is the response I got from Domains By Proxy regarding this exact question.

They submit only their proxy information to the registry, so that is all a whois search or 3rd party can see. Your real information is only available within their internal system.
