Someone else has already registered blueverb.com, greenverb.com, etc. for many different colors.
If I register bluenoun.com, greennoun.com, etc. how many repeat visitors do you think will get confused and go to blueverb.com, etc. instead? I'm mainly looking for search engine traffic on keywords that are more specific than the noun or the verb.
The verb sites are moderately low quality in both looks and content, and I think I've got something better. But, I don't want people to think "blue" then try to think whether they should go to the verb or the noun site.
The verb sites have been around for a while so I don't think their problems are just because they're new sites. Both the noun and the verb are short, common words. The noun is one letter longer than the verb.
If I were going to spend a million dollars building bluenoun.com I'd find something entirely different. However, for my purposes does it matter?
Generally speaking, nouns are more frequently searched than verbs. Domains using nouns are more desirable and accordingly more highly valued.
Try using the Overture Keyword Selector Tool [inventory.overture.com] as a guideline for popular keywords. Keep in mind that the sequence of phrases displayed are not necessarily in the correct order and the results combine both singular and plural versions.
