"Widgets" is my primary keyword. I will get all my traffic on this one word. www.widgets.com is taken.

Should I go for www.TheWidgets.com or www.WidgetsKeyword.com (where "keyword" is another less relevant keyword). Will the SE's just omitt "the" and thus I would have a really good match for the keyword, or will this "the" hurt me b/c it isn't relevant at all.

Do SE's like to see domain names as w/as few as possible extra keywords? i.e. if ppl search for 1 specific keyword "widgets" MUCH more than say 2 other keywords you could add to the domain, should you try to keep extra keywords to a minimum?

My traffic will be solely organic so I would like to hear some opinions on the best way to maximize my SERP. Thanks a million.

If you asked Google that question, I suspect they would tell you to just pick a domain that fits the site as well as possible and is easy to remember for your visitors.

I think that TheWidgets.com would be the same as WidgetWorld.com to an engine. The domain may or may not influence your rankings very much, but your inbound links and page content are much more important.

Hi,
There should be no significant problem -I have a site on these lines, ie TheWidgets.com and it has number one position for a number of search terms in its subject area, and gets very good traffic.
