Strange Whois

How did they do this?

I just visited acouple of domain name sellers and did a search on the domain www.google.*. When I clicked on the whois information I got:

Whois Server Version 1.3

Domain names in the .com and .net domains can now be registered
with many different competing registrars. Go to http://www.internic.net
for detailed information.

GOOGLE.COM.SUCKS.FIND.CRACKZ.WITH.SEARCH.EXAMPLE.COM
GOOGLE.COM.HAS.LESS.FREE.PORN.IN.ITS.SEARCH.ENGINE.THAN.EXAMPLE.COM
GOOGLE.COM

Why hasn't someone fixed this?

Because the aforementioned URL's (which you should censor) like to hack Whois info on some of the less secure servers out there.

So that means it is illegal to put that in there?
I have seen something very similar with another domain - let's call it aaa.com

aaa.com.aint.as.good.as....

Is there a legal way to do that? ;)
