Catching a domain from Netsol

are they in bed with snap names?

I want this domain that doesn't officially expire until April(date listed in whois). The domain is currently registered with NETWORK SOLUTIONS, INC., does this mean the only way to get it is through snap names or do they other services (private/public) have a shot? The domain will definitely drop as I've tried to call the guy, send him letters and all the information is wrong (isn't that illegal? and could i get the domain on some sort of technicality basis).

Thanks for any info

Wrong WHOIS doesn't help you at all. Half of my domains have false WHOIS just because I don't want anyone to know about my ownership. You will be able to register it if he will forget and it will expire.

Is there private services out there that can compete with snapnames aquiring a Netsol domain or do they pretty much have a monopoly on that registers domains?

THanks

If .com or .net SN gets it on drop from NeSol. Therefore there's no competition.

Re: Owner? No website? Did you try Archive.org to see what was once there and attempt to reach out via the old info if it exists? That has worked for me a few times.

Thanks I tried contacting via phone / address neither work anymore. Does anyone know how the auction process work is it 90 day days after the site expires for snapnames or is the day after it expires via the whois listing?

Thanks

Its is better to use private service instead of giving wrong whois info because it some time create alot of problems.

Well If domain really drop than it will be open to every one and It is sure that Snap Names will catch the domain as some time very good domains are catched by Godaddy BackOrder service.
