Hypothetically speaking :

You own a company that sells furniture and it is called Kenny's

You own a website called kennys.com
and you've just purchased a website called furniture.com

And your competition have furnitureonline.com

Would you be piggybacking them? Or is it all fair in love and war?

If you own a domain name that is the noun of the item, definitely use it. If it is a brandname, don't us it or at least be prepared to recieve a C&D letter. Also remember this forum is about methods and not personal ethics.

Agreed, it's only a problem if "furniture" is your company's registered trademark.
