Hi ,
I am a newbie in loading a site so i have a question (actually i have many!).
The problem is that i want to get access to a
directory which is in the main domain being in the
subdomain. Here is the structure:

main domain---¦
¦--httdocs--pictures
¦
¦--subdomain--httdocs

I am in the httdocs directory of the subdomain and i
want to access the pictures directory .So the path is
../httdocs/pictures. Unfortunately i get a message that this path is not allowed. I don't even know if it is possible but i guess it will be somehow. The first question is this and the second is: if it is possible who can solve it, me or the web hosting company and how?
Thanks in advance

I am no expert but as no one else has responded I think I can recognise your problem. I assume you want to use images from one folder in files in the other folder.
The HREF in that case is
../other folder/imagename.jpg.
and a link to an HTM file works the same.

or is your problem more complicated than that?

Sorry but I seem to have repeated what you have already done (couldn't see your post when I did the reply until it was too late).
My sub-domains are on a web-forwarding system and do point into sub-folders but I have no problems with such cross-referencing as you mention. I suggest you contact the hosting company to see if they have the explanation and solution.
