Hi there, let's suppose that two websites have the same amount of content, links, back links, meta tag optimization etc.; just that the domain names of the sites are www.keywordkeyword.com and www.keyword-keyword.com respectively. Which of the two would fair better on Google and the other top search engine?

Hello librarc, and welcome to the forum.

We have another thread active right now on this very topic:
keywords w hyphens for domain names [webmasterworld.com]

The consensus seems to be that the domain name itself makes a very small difference today, and perhaps none on some engines. In the interest of not scattering the discussion, I invite you to monitor and perhaps contribute to the other active thread.

Thanks.
