I own a company website which is www.mycompany.co.uk and .com

I have just purchased 4 extra domain names which are www.keyword1.com
www.keyword2.com
www.keyword3.com
www.keyword4.com

What I intend to do is build these 4 extra sites, with the same site as www.mycompany.co.uk and point them to www.mycompany.co.uk

What is the best way to do this, and does anyone think Im wasting my time?

An alternative idea is to create 4 news sites for the domain and target those phrases, them have a redirect to www.mycompany.co.uk

I belive this should increase my traffic and linking structure?

Any advise would be great, I have just purchased 10 domains and dont know what to do with them!

The new domains will not help you much unless themselves are optimized well and linked well from other places. If you just use them to link to your site, bunch of links from PR0 sites will have no affect.

Alos, you want to be carefull how you built these new sites so 1)They are not automatically flagged as duplicate and 2)They do not look like doorway pages to your main site.

What you want to do is build stand alone sites with unique content and then place links going to your other sites via banners or text links in some part of the site.

thanks for the msg, you mention door way pages, I know they are not to be used, however I know loads of sites that use these to get to the top 10....would you honestly not go that way as Im sure they will work for about 1 year before getting hit?

Well, you are risking getting your main site banned. The engines would probably not catch it but if a competitor reports you then you will be in trouble. If you want to do any type of black hat SEO then my recommendation would be to do it on throw away domains and not link them to your main site.

You should probably also use different registrant info than that of your main site and also host them on a different server than your main site.

"Black Hat" SEO can also be described as "high risk" SEO - using any techniques that search engines either have a behind-the-scenes dislike for, or methods they have explicitly said they disapprove of.

If you are knowingly working with such approaches, you clearly would not want to risk getting an important domain name banned from the index.
