Imagine there is a huge site for widgetsawards.com.
If you were to establish a community and review site of the absolute top creme content for review, discussion and what have you, how much do you have to differ from the original domain in order to not infringe?

BestOf-WidgetsAwards.com o.k.?
bestofwidgetsawards.com still o.k.?
Or even avoid the original domain alltogether?

Widgets and awards are both common names, so you might not infringe by using them in your domain. However, can't you get something like bestofwidgets.com or topwidgetsites.com?

That's the question: do you want to ride the strong, existing brand widgetsawards.com (can't name real world examples here) and risk to be pointed out because you use the exact spelling, even if it's just one part of the domain.
