Our business is made up of different sections that are completely different, and we therefore have different domains for each section. Say our main copany domain is

www.ourcompany.com

Each differnt section of our company then is kept in seperate folders on our main webspace i.e.

www.ourcompany.com/section1
www.ourcompany.com/section2
www.ourcompany.com/section3

We have bought keyword specific domains pointing to each of these folders i.e.

www.section1.com
www.section2.com
www.section3.com

The problem is that the search engines (especially Google) lists the www.ourcompany.com/ domains, and not the individual keyword specific domains . How can I stop this happening. I obviously would not expect an se to list say www.ourcompany.com/section1 and www.section1.com as they are both exactly the same site, but how can you get them to list the second and not the first in their results?

Do not link to subfolders if they have their own domain unless you plan on doing redirects or robots.txt excluding your sub-folder.
