Simple .info question

Hi,

Well basically I wanted to know if having a long domain and having .info will affect my site from being index, I dont want to sound stupid, but is that I being told that long domains and domains that don't end with .com and .net are harder to be index, And again dont laught at me if its a crazy thing :)

There is no problem at all with long domain names or .info names being indexed by search engines. Relax. :)

Really rfgdxm1? Just a complete hunch here, but I would guess that there is a penalty if your domain name reaches some critical length. Not that it would keep you from being indexed, but it could keep you from ranking well.

Maybe Google hasn't caught on or maybe it has, but sites like big-blue-widgets-for-sale-in-nebraska.com aren't usually very good sites.

Google Guy stated that all domain extensions are indexed equally at the moment. There are just over 5 million .info pages indexed by Google and nearly 16 million in Yahoo.

Poor quality would mean that few people link to them. That's what would hold them back in the search results, not the domain name or extension.
