Have looked around a bit for this but not having much luck.

Let's say I buy a domain example.co.uk. I pay £30,000 on the premise that I can probably get that back within 18 months if i put advertising / site on... I think it's a fairly good price for a generic 6 letter domain.

Now I have a chance to buy the .com domain. This is about £50,000 but again I think that given the stateside traffic and the .com kudos, I can break even over 2 years...

Then I get a chance to buy the .de say....(as this term example.de would also be recognised to German users

My question is how much could the three be worth....

Would having the .com and .co.uk be as good as a cheque for £250,000 (supposing I can find a buyer) and then add on £100,000 for the .de giving the buyer access to three massive markets instantly... (I would set up small information sites to ensure they are listed in search engines and have organic traffic)

I know they are only worth what the market will pay - always the case, but this is a growth market (the field I am in ) and there will be a steady need for this type of information for many years to come.

Look at creditcards .com - $2.5mill.... hmmm!

Any advice greatly received.

.COM has always been the most popular, with
no end in sight.
