Domain Name Matches Searched Phrase

While researching new site possibilities I stumbled across an available domain that matches the most popular three word search term. My questions are:

Since my domain name matches the most searched term in this area(same words, just different order) I would have to believe the search engines would give a well done site a top placement since the domain matches the words people entered and there's the possibility people are looking for said site. Do you agree?

The available domain is actually the search term backwards such as Blue-Widgets-Large and the popular search term is Large-Blue-Widgets I believe the search engines look at the names the same, however would like your opinion before I go ahead and register the domain. Thanks in advance.

The only way that will help you is that when you get backlinks you will get the anchor text value. If you can get those 3 words in your anchor text anyhow then it has no real value. Domain name does not have much value in SEO. It is not as good of a find as you probably are thinking it is.

Thanks Ogletree, I really thought having the keywords in the domain name would give a large boost to a site.

I will back up ogletree 100%. Any search engine boost from keywords in the domain name is quite minor (if indeed there is any at all.)

Extra value may come from searchers finding a keyword domain more appealing, and thinking that it's more likely to be on their topic -- but that's not part of the search engine algorithm.

If the search phrase is backwards, I'll bet more surfers find it appalling than appealing.

In this case the particular phrase backwards is often used as well and makes perfect sense. Thanks for everyone's help.
