Looking for a new registrar

Tired of fooling around with my current one.

I have a few domain names registered through Active-Domain but names registered tonight don't actually get processed until they come to work the next day. Found that out and stopped using their service probably a year ago. Maybe they've changed since then but I don't care to ask.

Switched To GoDaddy and have quite a few names registered there and I really like how easy it is to manage them. BUT!, every time I register a new name they make me go through so many BS hoops declining this offer and that offer and smart registration, etc. that I really want to find another registrar to use. I know it's smart (profitable) marketing for them but I'm hardly registering my first name and I don't need all the junk they make me decline.

Have any registrars you can recommend that offer good domain management?

But to be fair to GoDaddy, the defaults for all these additional offers are all set to 'NO' so they do not try any trickery - and it's just a real simple matter of clicking-through till you get to the checkout.
I don't really find it a trial.(and great marketing - we could all learn a thing or two from GoDaddy IMO)

Quite a few similar threads have passed this way previously, including:

The site search should show up plenty more if desired!

Thanks for the stickies and the reference to the thread will likely be exactly what I'm looking for, I'm sure. No point in beating to death something that's already been addressed recently.

Good luck in choosing a new Registrar! There are many, many good ones out there but, as with all of us, even the best Registrar encounters problems sometimes and makes mistakes!

The only thing I'll mention is that cost of purchasing and renewing shouldn't necessarily be a critical factor in your choice - reputation, services available and recommendations should be key factors, whilst a good price is merely an added bonus!

Exactly, Ritch. I wouldn't pay the $20. and $30.00 that some companies are charging but I also have no problem paying a little bit more for the security provided by a company like GD (that also has good prices anyway). The ease of domain management, etc., is really a plus.

I just get a little frustrated on a day when I'm buying 10 or 15 domains in a row and have to keep going through the same number of screens to buy each one. Don't make me slog through mud when I'm trying to sprint! :-)

I guess I was just ranting yesterday after mucking through the purchase of three domains and knowing I had to do this 10 more times.

Unless you need to use different login accounts or different credit card numbers, you can do all of them at once.

If the owner and contact info is different, I am pretty sure that you can enter them individually for each domain. At least there is a check box (defaults to checked) to "use this information for each domain on this order."
