Whois DNS records problem?

I have recently changed hosting companies and have a new IP address. The old company had their own DNS servers pointing to the old IP.

About 18hrs ago I changed my Zone information at my domain registra's site to use the new DNS servers and the new Ip address.

The site is not visible yet which is not unusual I don't think. My concern is that when I do a whois lookup I get 4 DNS records. My 2 old DNS servers and below the two new DNS servers. Is this normal and will the old DNS records disappear or should I have done something?

Uggh! I don't think that's correct. Maybe if I could see the problem first hand. But because of the restrictions on this site, you'll need to send a private message with your domain name. I'm also curious where you did your whois lookup. But again, you can't post URLs on this site to external sites, so you'll need to send it over PM.

Personally, I would just call up the registrar for both domains and be sure they have done everything they are supposed to do. Let them work it out. But yes, if you're seeing a whois lookup that is pointed to both the old location and the new, something must be wrong. Normally when you change to the new, the new records replace the old ones.
