Multiple domains, same content

I currently have www.keyword.com and www.companyname.com, both delivering the exact same content.

Does google still give preference to keyword.com sties?

Will google ban both sites?

Should I use a redirect or just eliminate one domain? What is the best redirect method?

Sorry if these seem like simplistic questions, I'm just getting started in the SEO business.

You can use redirect- to point a domain to the other.
This way both domains wil have thbe same Page Rank.
For example I use [site.net...] that redirects to http:/site.com.

Are you referring to pointing a domain alias to your other domain via your host, or are you referring to using a 301 redirect in .htaccess?

I have my main domain ****xxxx.com and then xxxxxxx.net pointing to it as well via my host having it registered as a domain alias.

Will this use pagerank with either domain?

Quote me if I am wrong, but doesn't Google filter out 'similar' content?

So if I have http://example1.co.uk and also point http://example2.co.uk to that same domain, Google would look at both, say they are identical, and then filter out one of them?

THis would be handy to know.
