Names and recognition?

Ok, so there are hundreds, thousands of four and five character domain names with numbers in them, that have not been registered. Such as, j171.com, or b162.com etc.

What do you think are the most memorable numbers? Think about it for a minute, one alphabetic character followed by 3 numbers.com. What would be memorable to you?

Granted some of the snappier ones are gone (z333, a111, z180 etc), but there are still a whole slew of numbers like that available.

I'm trying to figure out which ones would stick in a persons memory. For characters that is easy (z, j, x or k with the hard consonants for openers), but the numbers have me stumped. Do you go with the hard lead in Six, Seven, Two, or the smooth sounding Nine, Four, or Five? hmmm

What do you think?

I did read somewhere that the phone companies did a study and found that people remembered numbers best in groups of three, 2nd best in groups of four.

Personally, I like 777 or 999.

There are 50,000+ domain names with 911 and 411 registered. You have to go to atleast 3 alpha chars to find a 411 that isn't registered.

I think it comes down to hard consanants like s & t's (six,seven,two)
