when is WLS coming in?

I was wondering if anyone had any other information about what to do if you really, really want a domain name that is going to expire. Should you place a bid on SnapNames, NameWinner and pool like one user did here.

Or should you just wait for the WLS? Anyone know when it is coming in?

I know the whois entry for the domain expiration date is not the actual date you can register it. How do you find out exactly when the domain will become available to register?

I looked at waiting list servce faq and they say that the owner of the domain will be informed that someone ordered WLS on his domain. I think in most cases the owner of the domain would renew the domain.
