Hello,

I rigistered with Networksolution's Next Registration Rights to backorder a domain sometime ago. and it can be accessed here: [nextregistrationrights.com...]

I search my desired domain name there, it shows that the name is not available. That's right, since I already subscribed it.

However, if I go to Networksolutions whois and search the domain name, there is a link beside the name returned by the search saying "backorder this name" whick links to snapnames.com.

I am confused. I remember I got to Next Registration Rights through networksolutions sometime ago. Why it now directs to snapnames? what's the difference between Next Registration Rights and snapnames?

Could someone please clearify this? thanks.

Nextregistrationrights and snapnames are using the same technology but at the moment the WLS is not operational so neither can guarantee backordering it for you. What will happen when it is first implemented is that different backorder services will be able to try and snap the WLS for a domain.
Thus you may have it on backorder with nextregistrationrights but someone backordering it with snapnames may beat you to it.
After the WLS begins then whoever backorders it first is then guaranteed it.

Thanks cabbie

Interesting. It seems NRR will never go alive, that's why they redirect to snapnames
