I don’t know who had it or how much they paid, but for the longest time Coca-Cola didn’t own coke.com. They used ko.com, which is their ticker symbol. As a matter of fact, when they visit my site they still show up as ko.com, but if you enter coke.com your get Coca-Cola now.
