Want to register a few--maybe a lot--of domain names. Initial sleuthing from the Internic registrar list has revealed what appears to be a bargain or two: two-year registrations for $15-25. Any other low-cost alternatives? Tips? Thanks, Kris.

I and many others swear by GoDaddy - I am in no way affilliated, but just a happy customer. They really have their act together - IMO.

Went to godaddy... WOW! Network Solutions really socked it to me--ouch! Good grief. I just re-registered a (my only) domain there--for I think 3 years. Can I switch it over and get a refund? or is that $$ up the chimney? Is godaddy a good choice for a host as well? Some of the top-ten-type reviews I've read have not listed them. Thanks Kris.

One thing I've been wondering for a while, when I sign up for email with godaddy, can I spread the accoutns accross domains?
For example, can I sign up for 50 accoutns and then use 5 accounts each on 10 domains, or must I have all of them on th esame domain?

IMO Keep away from godaddy.Especially if you have many domains. There are plenty of registers who are doing specials.domainsite.com has $6.99 at the moment and where you can create several accounts

I don't know what cabbie's issue is but I have found GoDaddy to be fantastic - their systems really are sorted out. AND you can use the registration 'by proxy' to keep your info confidential, which I'm using. I'm subscribed to some pretty professional Lists and many others also speak highly of GoDaddy.
IMO, they know what they're doing.
Now, re hosting, I cannot speak about their service, BUT if it were me I think I'd be inclined to go with a specialist hosting provider - 'horses for courses'.

Yes godaddy is still having that lacking where each domain you cant have your own login assigned.I also emailed support & said they are still working on that feature. Therefore I've switched to namecheap which even cheaper.
Hope that helps.

I have never had an issue with Godaddy with over 200 domain names. I have not used their hosting or email services, but their domain services are excellent and unsurpassed.

GoDaddy is a great choice. For bulk names, I prepay with Stargate for a bigger discount. Once your account is set up, it's fairly easy to add more funds (they accept Paypal).
The only downside to Stargate is that they are slow to respond to email.

I use Registerfly.com -
they have pretty good prices on domain registration and if you want to transfer domains to them their prices are REALLY good.
Plus they seem to give me quite a bit of control of the mx records which is nice. -
Good Luck

How about web.com for 6.95 and rackshack.net for 5.49?

5.49 is no more valid. They are now 6.49+Tax = 7 approx.
