How can you search to see what domains a person owns?

Used to be able to do this on Network Solutions...

A long time ago, 5-6 years, you could do a search to see what domains a particular person owned. Is there a way to do that now?

We are trying to verify if a particular vendor has been abusing proprietary software. And yes, they would register the domain in their name, we already found one...
