Renewal invoice being processed

A domain I'd very much like has seemingly expired, where the renewal date was 1 September '03. The following whois registration status however appears:

"renewal invoice being processed"

Is that a positive or negative sign for someone (like me) who would like to own that domain?

I guess its a negative sign, I have a number of domains at that status on the whois at the moment. Some of which are being renewed.

For a .UK domain, this indicates that Nominet has received the renewal request from the existing registrant (or their host) and is processing it. As such, it's unlikely the domain will become available.

All things being well with the renewal, the status should change to 'registered until renewal date' upon completion, although this may take several weeks.
