20-30 Domain Names

Just something that i have been thinking about for the past few weeks. I have noticed one of our competitors that is starting to dominate the serp's because it has 20 to 30 domain names pointing to their website. I would like to know if any one reccommends doing this and what google feels about websites using the method.

I've always felt that webmasters that use this methods don't really care about building their business for the long term or am i wrong in assuming this.

As long as the content only exists once and the other domains only link/point to the same content Google doesn't care. (But I don't see how it would really help you in Google except for keyword rich domain names)

If, however the content is copied and multiple identical sites exists, than your friends are doing what is called 'search engine spamming'
