How long till it's available?

If I'm looking at a domain that expired yesterday on 10/19, how long before I should be able to register it? I don't think anyone else would be watching this one, but still I'd like to do everything I can to grab it as I don't think the current owner is going to renew (they haven't even used it in a year).

They usually give the previous registrant an extra 30 days and then it's like another five before it drops. Some people have reported NetSol and a couple other registrars grabbing domains before the period is even over.
