got an email from netsol... started out like this:

"For a limited time you can transfer as many domain names as you like to Network Solutions absolutely FREE. Each name that you transfer will receive a FREE year added to its current registration. That's two free offers — free transfer and a free year — when you move a domain name registration to Network Solutions today."

Thats pretty tempting. To bad it is netsol. They just seem to be on a downward spiral.

That's worth about $6-$10 in today's market (and costing them about $4-$5) because transfers are normally free and usually when you transfer you have to buy a year. Still that could add up if there are thousands of them done (got a promo code? ;) ).

I don't care for NetSol tactics but at least their interface and speed isnt that bad. I mean try any Wild West interface and speed in comparison, ugh. My personal preference after trying most is Enom.

I've seen too many not get renewel notices from Enom. They find out their domains expired when one day their site suddenly stops working. Enom is also not very responsive in straightening out problems. No thanks.

NetSol -- what's there to say other than they are one of the worst. While they're still under VeriSign, it won't cost them a penny to give .com and .net away for a year. The $6 other registrars pay for those domains goes right into VeriSign/NetSol's pockets for managing the program. Not sure what happens after the split. If their offer extends to other domains, they'll have to pay like $4-$6 for those. Once you transfer into them, then you're stuck paying much higher rates so they'll make the money back. Nice jesture but they burned bridges with too many folks.
