Hi all. This is my first post and I'm very sorry for my terrible english, but hope you understand me.

I've monitored some expired domain, but lost it several day ago. It was registered by Pool and got "active" status.
But a few days ago domain status was changed back to "redemption period". Please, explain me how can it be?

Welcome sleepyhero. One way that I can think of is that the client who backordered it from Pool didn't pay their money and pool put it back into the system for a credit which they are allowed to do within a limited time of acquiring the name.

Thank you for answer, Cabbie.
Yeah, I think you're right, seems it's most believable reason...

Can I ask you some questions, if you don't mind?

To clear up it, here I tried to describe whois changes:
[here I started to monitor the domain - a several weeks ago]
domain.com Creation date: xx-xx-2002; Expiration date: xx-xx-2003; Status: Redemption Period
domain.com Creation date: xx-xx-2002; Expiration date: xx-xx-2003; Status: Pending Delete
[here I lost the domain, someone registered it]
domain.com Creation date: xx-xx-2003; Expiration date: xx-xx-2004; Status: Active
[a few days ago]
domain.com Creation date: xx-xx-2003; Expiration date: xx-xx-2004; Status: Redemption Period

what do you think, when it will be available again? In 2004 as it says in expiration date or after 30-40 days as standart "redemption" period? =)

The 2004 date doesn't mean much as verisign automatically extend the registration date.I am pretty sure it will take 35 days now again from the new creation date but I could be wrong.Another alternative to possibly try is to backorder the domain with Pool.com($60) and see if they might repossess the name straight away and give it to you.
