Hey,
I added a domain to my host using "Addon domain" in CpanelX 2.1, it worked unlill I added a subdomain with an underscore (_) in the name... This deleted the subdomain that the domain relies on and that deleted the addon domain... Now when I try to re-add the addon domain it gives me this error:

Sorry, a DNS entry for ****.net already exists, please delete it first

Could you help me please thx :D
Pat.

Sounds more like an application problem than a domain problem. You may want to try tech support at your hosting company. I am not familiar with that application.

I did try tech support but they did not reply... it makes 3-4 days that I sent them the question... Anyone knows how to manually add an addon domain?

I think that an '_' character is not permitted in (sub)domain names though it can exist as a directory name. I'm not familiar with Cpanel though the 'addon domain' option sounds like something to add on an extra domain name rather than a subdomain.

Manually adding domains and subdomains would involve editing the zonefile. I don't think that your host would allow that as the Cpanel is meant to provide web based administration. It would be best to keep trying to contact your host's admins.

Alright, I added the subdomain with an underscore but when it didn't work I did one without an underscore... An addon domain is not a parked domain... It's a domain that allows you to have more then one site on one account/host. I will try to contact my host again but it anyone else can help PLEASE post because I have a domain witch is not working!

Hey, anyone can tell me how to remove the dns thing? Like that I can tell my host what to do? Cuz I need that domain. It's just there doing nothing right now. He just got a new host (the dude that owns the domain) to see if the other host would be able to add the domain but it doesn't work...

Thx
Pat.
