Are quoted prices negotiable?

I recently received a price quote for a domain that I'm interested in. The price quote was significantly more than I am prepared to pay. I FAQ's say the price is fixed and the buyer is not expected to negotiate.

Anyone with experience in this matter?

I agree with Shak. Three months later after requesting price for domain I was offered domain for much lower price.

Yep, even if you respond now with an offer it will show you are keen.

Weigh up how much you really want it against how much you are prepared to pay, against how much its really worth....against what they will eventually accept ;)

Thanks for the input. Judging by some of your past posts, it looks like you have experience with this. I love the quality of folks ww brings in. I never make big move without checking here first:)

isn't everything negotiatble?

A domain is not much different than a used car, you ask what you think someone will pay, when punters are slow coming, the price goes down.

The difference being, when the car is sold, another identicle one is around the corner, when a domain is gone ... its gone.

So there is a fine balance in not being to keen and eager ... and being so laid back that you'll miss it.

Sometimes I have people interested in buying some of my domains and the prices I quote them are non negoitable.I know what it is worth to me and if they dont think it is worth as much to them then they can forget it.
