We're all told there are 3, 4 billion+ web pages, but what about actual domains there are in existance. Presumably this would actually be measurable if all the registrars gave us the figures. Is there any information on this out there?
A great shame that they don't put ".co.uk" domains in there as that's a comparison I'd like to see.

I think some of the other tlds stopped giving out info - at least that is the impression Ihad from a conversation GG and Lisa had once about .gov domains.

I think we'll be in for another tld pretty soon just to add to the 'economy'. Perhaps state ones - NV, NY, etc, or GB to go alongside .co.uk, or even split up the UK to En, Sc, Ir, Wa ... or modernise a few like .bsh for Iraq?
Perhaps politically correct ones too?

thanks Chris - 32 million as shown must surely be a very very small % of the total
peewhy - loved the new iraq idea, although there'd be a few afghans claiming they got there first.
As for politically correct domains, what about .gay and .les for starters... ;)

I thought about .gay but wanted to leave a lead ... or err on the side of caution.. but afterwards I thought that 'pink 'n proud' folk would probably go for .gay!
