Hi every one,
Now that the dance is over its time to go back to work..
Two quick questions:
1.Can any one tell me what is a reasonable price to pay for registering jp. kr
and cn. domains - could not find less then 100$ per domain..
2.Will registering the domains in local language like japanese -using the key word I want to promote, help me with the search engines?

Cheers

Get a reseller account at OnlineNic.com and you can register .cn domain names from just $25.99

I can get .jp domain names a lot cheaper than that, but there are a lot of restrictions like a Japanese billing address and a local bank account requirement that would probably make it quite difficult for you. They don't take credit cards, only bank transfers. Also the interface is entirely in Japanese (and translation software won't work on the site).

These places that are charging $100 are a little more than doubling the actual price. However, they're using their local address in Japan as the billing contact to fulfill the local residency requirements on your behalf. Personally I haven't seen a registrar with an English interface offering lower than $100 for a .jp name.

I have no experience with .kr names, but they're probably quite strict on the local residency requirements otherwise I think you'd see a lot more of them. China just opened up the second level .cn names less than 24 hours ago and there are no restrictions on residency at all for them.
