Open Directory Site vs. Open Directory Catagory Listing

How do I get listed as a Open Directory Site?

Hello....
I have been very concerned about my listing in the ODP. I did a search with my keywords, and I am not found as an Open Directory Site, but I am found within the Open Directory Catagory listings.
I would like to list as a "site" but the directions on their site always lead me back to the catagories.
Can anyone explain the procedure for getting listed as a "Open Directory Site" as opposed to and "Open Directory Catagory".
It is like getting caught in a circle on that site to try and figure out how I can get listed as a "site". And should I try to get listed as a "site" vs just in the catagory section.
Thanks everyone for any input or suggestions....
Linda

Linda,

The only way to get listed in ODP is in a category. The important thing is to get listed in ODP, hopefully with a good description. THe way the search function works [at ODP] is somewhat of a mystery and it is not worth the stressing out over your ranking in ODP search. (You can't really do much about it anyway - save attempt to get your listing changed) If it helps you in Google and other engines that is what will make a substantial difference in referrals to your site.
