Possible to get another change in description?

Has anyone been able to obtain a second change to their ODP description? Our keyword phrase was modified in the new description, and I was wondering if this description has any relevance in Google's search results?

Thanks. Appreciate the info...

Does the description factor into Google's search results in any way? If not, then I see no reason to attempt to get our description changed.

It does, but it is only one link. Don't worry about the description and move on to other links you can get. Tons of external links within your theme is worth more than one link with your specified keywords. Be happy your in Dmoz and move on.

korkus2000, I have to respectfuly disagree. The one link from DMOZ is more important than almost any other link, with exception to Yahoo and LookSmart (and maybe not LookSmart for long), because of the "importance" of the link. Recent research has shown that the majority of top 10 links on Google have these three links in common.

However, coconutz, I doubt you will have any luck changing your description if it is relevant. If the editor feels the current description matches your site, he will not change it, especially just to add keywords to it.

I agree that it is important but editors won't help you with that stuff. If you go over to the resource-zone you will see their reasons.
I have multiple issues with dmoz editors which I will not voice here.

Yes links from dmoz count more than regular links but you can make up for that with multiple on theme links.
