The re-index is an index of those sites already reviewed and accepted by an editor. No other site is included.
The greatest challenge with DMOZ is the former... to have an editor process it. Once this has been done, sit and wait for the next re-index.
I'm not sure by the way why the re-index is now so infrequent. Not too many months ago we were experiencing re-indexes every week or so (or maybe things just look better restrospectively!).
I went to dmoz and used their "update url" option.
Are you telling me this takes longer than submitting a website?
I don't understand, please educate me.
1) A site must be reviewed and accepted by an editor.
2) DMOZ periodically refreshes its database.

3) The SE / Directory / Portal must download the RDF and publish it.

I view the re-index broadly as a mechanical process of spidering all the different categories. If you were in there by the due date, you should now be returned in searches.
If not... double check that you are still in the actual category.
My guess would be that you're in the editing queue, waiting for the editor to review the changes. Sometimes this can happen rather quickly, and other times not so quickly.
However, patience is a virtue. Especially with the ODP. Others here might be able to advise about the turn-around time for updating a listing.
:)
dmoz is the only engine that has yet to pick the change. All the other engines are show the corrected title and content.
It's hard to explain to the site owner, that well um we're still waiting for dmoz to update. When he sees the update status at the bottom of the dmoz searches now, he's going feel pretty disgusted.
Have fun in the 'real' world!
