Hi all !!!
Surely you have received an e-mail from Looksmart offering 15$ discount on this new service with keywords.
What will you do if your site is already listed in Looksmart in more than one category and it's shown in the first search results? Try or not ? Have any of you already tried this service?
Thanks for answering me

Not tried it. Would also like to hear stories from those who have.

I have been pleased with the results so far. The only downside (which I didn't realize until after I signed up) is that they limit you to 200 clicks a month. They have a statement in their terms of service that says "Effective Cost per Click" is currently $0.15. The Effective Cost per Click may be changed from time to time by LookSmart at its sole discretion based on proprietary evaluation of market conditions and distribution costs." Basically it works out to $0.15 per click and they can change that at any time. It is still a good deal for me but if a click is worth less than $0.15 it probably wouldn't be the best way for you to go.

In your case wolfy, if there are no other sites using Site Promote for you keywords and you are listed #1 I am not sure how much benefit it will be for you. If, however, you have a few sites under your keywords that are using it than I would recommend it.

I tried the $15.00 deal. Made careful check of the rankings in Looksmart and their affiliates. At the end of the month I made careful check again. Then canceled, waited a couple of weeks and checked again. The only difference was on the Looksmart site itself. The referrals were minimal for what I sell, but it could be worth it for some.

Thanks to all!!
Well now I'll check and may be try this service even if I'm not so enthusiastic regarding this 200 maximum clicks for month.

I'll inform you on my results!!

Bye

We're using it for one CRM software vendor. It hasn't amounted to much. The program is probably much better suited to a consumer audience rather than B2B.
