Is it worth it?

Been thinking about trying Sprinks to get some About.com traffic but with $100 start-up I am wondering whether it will be worth it for a 'minority subject'.

To give you an idea about the ballpark my site is in: 150 hits from page 1 on Google in December (300 hits so far in January).

Bids for my keywords are low - most less than 10c. Will I ever spend the $100?

Not necessarily - Sprinks also has a pretty decent distribution - so it depends on whether or not your topic is related to something searched for often elsewhere, not just on About.com

Sprinks also has a new minimum...so most of the bids you might be seeing are only in pure search, not guidesites or they are grandfathered.
i seem to remember hearing something about a .20 thing - that might be to get place on a subject area or within a newsletter - not sure on that.
