Does anybody know how long there will be "pure" INK sites on AOL ? I don't believe that INK results will be permanent. They won't drop the directory listings.

Welcome Filograsso!
I didn't think AOL ever used pure Ink results: weren't they also always fed by ODP?

Yes you are right, the primary results at AOl came from the Open Directory, but now AOl is showing only INK results (I mean "pure" because the secondary AND the primary results are powered by inktomi.)

AOL is working on some modifications through the holidays, which my cause ODP results not to be displayed for a "short" period of time.

It seems that AOL does have the ODP results (search using this query [search.aol.com...] term ) I have seen this referrer in my logs for a couple of weeks now, but the real results returned by AOL are the ink results. I wonder if they are going to return to the great ODP results, or not?

Now, I find this unusual.
For terms used to search for my site, AOL returns results from Looksmart. It is a Looksmart-written description they are using for my site, which shows up on page 1 and for other sites that usually show up on MSN and Looksmart for the terms folks use to search for me.
